Reflection

i shipped 12 products in 2023. 12 months, 12 products. and a shit ton of ships and internal tools at places i worked at, shit ton of projects i made for my friends (like https://rasp.dhr.wtf)

this year was especially amazing for growth. I think, personally, I have understood the product aspect of things. How to create amazing products that people will love?

… and if no one loves it, i tend to discontinue the project and move on to the next one.

learning that is an underrated yet extremely important skill, atleast in my opinion. developers can make apps but not market them / grow them.

but i try to be as user-focused as possible.

I also happened to create a shit ton of content in 2023, got 4,000 followers on twitter and 23,000 on instagram (https://instagram.com/dhravya.dev) Saying that I’m proud of this is just an understatement. Out of the 30 videos I made, 4 videos got 100k+ views (some even in 300k and 400k range) and most videos are consistently at 20-30k view range (which is good enough)

it’s so satisfying to know that I inspired and taught so many people and helped them get into development.

I also got to meet and interact with so many amazing people (co-founder of github, redhat, cal.com, embedchain, and many many others) and not only get in touch but become their friends in a way.

Overall, I think i had a great, successful year.

so yeah, im happy :)

a lot to come in the next year as well. all i do is ship and try to get people to love whatever i make. is that something i can keep doing? yes. i can do this all day all night. and im gonna keep doing this.

Here’s to 2024 🥂

bye :)
